Seattle's 106.1 KISS FM Raises Almost $800,000

In its 15th year, Seattle radio station 106.1 KISS FM (KBKS) aired their annual “One Big KISS for Seattle Children’s Hospital Radiothon“.  Like the other years before, it was a HUGE success, raising over $783,000.

No, wait!

Make that over $792,000!

Morning co-host Bender (Bender & Molly In The Morning) said, “We have got the greatest audience in the world. I absolutely love the fact that they love this place and the kids as much as I do. We are already planning for next year.”

Seattle Children’s Hospital Foundation board of trustees’ chair Michele Smith added, “We are so blessed to have such an amazing partnership with Bender & Molly on KISS FM. The impact this partnership has meant to the patients and families at Seattle Children’s is immeasurable. Bender & Molly are always incredibly gracious with every patient they encounter. We are so lucky to have them as a part of our very generous community of supporters.”

Even though the check being held above by Bender & Molly reads $783,957, the exact 13-hour total of the “One Big KISS Radiothon” was $792,554, bringing the station’s 15-year total contributions to over $14.8 million dollars. Proceeds go to the hospital’s Children’s Greatest Needs Fund.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Radiothons are broadcasted on over 350 radio stations each year. Stations engage listeners with inspiring stories of Miracle Children from area communities and ask listeners to call in and pledge support for local kids.
