Community Celebrates a Second Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic!

Renderings of Seattle Children’s second OBCC location, set to open in 2021. The second location in Seattle’s Rainier Valley will be located closer to the 75 percent of OBCC patient families who have moved from the Central District to south Seattle and south King County for more affordable housing.

Because of dedicated supporters like you, Seattle Children’s has moved one step closer to building a second Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic (OBCC) to better serve families in the community who need it most.

On Saturday, September 21, a group of community members, neighbors, families and supporters came together to dedicate the site for where the second OBCC will be built. The second clinic will be part of a unique urban community concept called “Othello Square.” The site will provide families convenient access to services such as an economic opportunity center, a computer lab, an early learning center, community meeting spaces, and mixed-income housing for rent and ownership.

Learn more about the second OBBC clinic on the Seattle Children’s “On The Pulse” blog. You can also show your support for OBCC through Seattle Children’s It Starts With Yes Campaign which allows us to say yes to more kids who need us.
