Bender’s One Big Give Gives Big!

We want to celebrate and thank Bender and Jodi on 97.5 The Jet for raising $813,423 (thanks to additional overnight donations) for Uncompensated Care during Bender’s One Big Give Radiothon – that’s a 45% increase over last year!

Between online donors and those who called in, 683 individual gifts were made, including 112 new monthly Kids Club donors. The Jet also hosted an online auction and donated invaluable air time to spread the mission of Seattle Children’s to listeners throughout the day. In our 22nd year, Bender continues to be one of our most dedicated supporters and advocates.

Another ally includes YouTube celebrity 3D Printing Nerd, Joel Telling, who generated more than $42,000 from followers in his third year of support of Bender’s One Big Give Radiothon.

Highlights of the day included the return of presenting-level sponsor John L. Scott Foundation and the addition of a new co-presenting sponsor; Western Washington Hyundai Dealers and several matches throughout the day from our corporate friends, Prime Electric, Safelite AutoGlass, McLendon Hardware, Walmart, Oberto Specialty Meats, Velera, and our loyal friends from Hawaii, the Haugaard Family. An additional surprise $200,000 donation came from the Stillaguamish Tribe thanks to continued relationship building through this event.

CMN Hospitals partners Walmart, McLendon Hardware, and Credit Unions for Kids were among some of our wonderful phone bank volunteers.

Special guest visitors included Hailee and her mom Tiffany, and Aisley along with her sister Elin and mom Cari who joined us for the final hours of fundraising. We also had a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus all the way from the North Pole!
