Honoring and Giving Thanks this November
At Seattle Children’s, we acknowledge the land on which we live and work today as the traditional home of the Coast Salish people. This land is the traditional home of all tribes and bands within the Duwamish, Suquamish, Tulalip and Muckleshoot nations. We also acknowledge the traditional, unceded lands of the many Indigenous communities and tribes our facilities occupy across the Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho regions. We thank the original stewards of these land, past, present, and future and honor with gratitude the land itself.
This November, we also want to express our deepest thanks to our Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals partners and programs for all they have given to Seattle Children’s this year, and every year! Stay tuned for posts throughout the rest of the month as we give thanks to some of these wonderful partners.
