Community is more than a Core Value for Comey & RE/MAX Elite

“If there is an agent or owner struggling to find their WHY for giving or supporting this great organization (CMN Hospitals), I encourage them to visit their local children’s hospital – the stories there will be enough,” started Scott Comey, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Elite.

While Scott doesn’t have any children of his own, he absolutely has a heart for human healing and the many kids at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

“These kids need help, financial help to pay for the surgeries and more that they’re receiving. The hospitals and families rely heavily on the money raised by RE/MAX agents and other great organizations throughout the country.  I believe we all have social responsibility to be involved and give back to the communities that we work. And this is why community is a core value of ours, and top of the list for serving our purpose as an organization.”

Scott and the entire RE/MAX Elite company is known for it’s incredible community support of Seattle Children’s. In addition to volunteering time, many RE/MAX Elite associates also make a donation after a home or property sale. The company, which includes 5 offices in greater Seattle, is also hosting a min-auction at its annual holiday party in December.

Scott isn’t only championing through his office, he’s also very active at RE/MAX events, anxious to spread the empowerment. He was one of 25 who purchased a one-of-a-kind piece of art that was drawn by a patient, which is hanging prominently in his office.

This piece of art serves as his constant reminder of the power of CMN Hospitals and why he gives to the greater cause.

“It’s funny because one might look at this painting and think, it’s just a blob of paint, and why would I see this as moving or valuable to the cause.  My response to that is: a child created this masterpiece. A child that needs state of the art, life saving help.  To me, what I see, is LOVE – LIFE and Happiness.  Art is truly in the eye of the beholder.”
